ULTRON has been dedicated to AIoT applications since its inception. Not only has it sequentially introduced products and services such as the Mesh WiFi technology platform, IoT modules, smart IoT platforms, and cloud management platforms, but it has also actively constructed an ecosystem. This ecosystem aids community, construction, and appliance industries in deploying smart IoT applications. Today, with a global user base exceeding 45 million Mesh WiFi users and having assisted over 100 appliance brands in Taiwan alone, offering more than 1,000 types of smart home appliances, ULTRON continues to expand into international markets. The approach involves market positioning through software empowerment and fostering a symbiotic ecosystem.
ULTRON, established in 2016, leveraged the founders' and team members' expertise to enter the market through indoor communication in the form of Mesh WiFi. With robust technical capabilities and strategic partnerships, ULTRON quickly succeeded in global distribution through partners like Foxconn, reaching telecom partners worldwide. In 2017 and 2018, collaborations with major network communication manufacturers in Korea and Israeli telecom were established.
By the end of 2019, recognizing the ripe opportunities in the IoT market, ULTRON launched IoT empowerment solutions, enabling brand operators to swiftly create smart home appliances. Subsequently, in response to market demands, the company introduced smart IoT platforms and cloud management platforms, assisting brand customers in synchronizing endpoint, edge, management, and cloud deployments. ULTRON has become the preferred partner for telecom and home appliance brands in their smart home initiatives.
The success of ULTRON within a few short years is attributed to three factors. First, ULTRON provides end-to-cloud product empowerment services, significantly reducing the barriers and costs for brand customers to enter the AIoT market. According to ULTRON Founder and CEO, Aaron Chueh, "Statistics show that for brands in industries like home appliances, establishing an IoT platform and launching smart home appliances from scratch would typically take at least 1 to 2 years, if not longer, involving substantial human and resource investments. However, through collaboration with ULTRON, home appliance brands can launch smart home appliances and services in just a few months, responding to market demands faster and more efficiently."
For example, in 2020, with the assistance of ULTRON, Airmate successfully launched the Smart Energy-Saving Remote Control Stand Fan in less than 3 months. Subsequently, in response to market demands, they expanded their line of smart home appliances to include the Smart Remote Control Ceramic Heater, Smart Energy-Saving Disassembly Cleaning Tower Fan, the world's first multi-functional IoT Smart Circulating Fan, and a heater with smart thermostat and remote control functions, developing several smart home appliance products within a year and becoming a leading brand in smart fans.
"As of today, we have not only assisted over 100 home appliance brands in launching 1,000 of smart home appliances, but our product scope also includes various domains such as smart environmental control, smart security, smart energy-saving, smart lighting, smart health, and more. Furthermore, starting from 2021, we have further collaborated with telecom operators such as Taiwan Mobile, Taiwan Broadband, and Kbro Broadband to help them deploy smart homes, smart communities, and the construction market," said Aaron Chueh.
Secondly, not only does ULTRON provide one-stop IoT product empowerment services, but it also goes further by leveraging data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) technology to assist businesses in generating revenue, optimizing service efficiency, and enhancing core competitive advantages. After years of effort, Aaron Chueh believes that intelligence has become a basic function of home appliances. The focus now is on optimizing usage and service experiences. In response, ULTRON not only provides a data analytics platform to help brand customers understand end-consumer/user behavior but also assists them in optimizing the maintenance processes of connected devices, thereby enhancing the end-consumer/user experience.
For example, ULTRON not only assisted ARKVO in launching a smart home appliance for circulating and purifying water but also provided customer behavior insights, helped ARKVO establish a smart maintenance platform, and offered maintenance information push services to optimize consumer usage experiences. " In the future, we plan to further optimize the interaction between smart home appliances and end-users through technologies such as generative artificial intelligence, continuously deepening our relationship with end-users," said Aaron Chueh.
Thirdly, continuously constructing and refining the IoT ecosystem to facilitate easy connectivity and management of various smart home appliances, maximizing the benefits of collaborative creation and mutual prosperity within the ecosystem. Aaron Chueh believes, "No single enterprise can, on its own, provide the smart home services that consumers/users need. This implies that merely offering products and services related to smart home appliances is not sufficient. It is essential to further connect with other smart home appliances to better provide consumers/users with ubiquitous service experiences. Therefore, we deploy platform services from an ecosystem perspective, allowing all appliance and device manufacturers using the ULTRON platform to seamlessly integrate, delivering users a unique smart home service experience."
Over the past three years, we have accumulated a considerable service capacity in the smart home appliance market in Taiwan. More than 700,000 smart home appliances in Taiwan are connected through Mesh WiFi, providing services. Next, we will focus on overseas markets, starting with customers who have adopted Mesh WiFi, assisting them in seizing the smart IoT market," revealed Aaron Chueh. He further disclosed ongoing negotiations with a security brand in the United States to help create smart monitoring and smart home brand products and services. Going forward, the company will assist customers in telecommunications, home appliances, construction, and communities in market positioning using a software empowerment model, creating a win-win situation for consumers, brand customers, partners, and ULTRON.
"Our vision is to 'assist customers in breaking through limits and re-launching new operational peaks' through IoT platform services. In the future, we will work towards this goal, cultivating the global market and showcasing Taiwan's abundant IoT capabilities to global brand operators," summarized Aaron Chueh regarding future developments.
