The Matter China Developer Conference was held on December 2 in Shenzhen, China. Nearly 20 experts from the alliance and member companies shared insights on Matter across 16 topics of in-depth technical content related to the platform with developers both on-site and online.
As an official member of the Connectivity Standards Alliance（CSA）, ULTRON (WiFigarden) made a notable appearance at the Matter Developer Conference.
As is widely known, many device manufacturing companies are primarily interested in Matter due to the opportunities it brings for global expansion. The seamless integration of Matter products into major overseas ecosystems is a key focus for everyone. During the conference, Heywoo Lee, Business Development Manager at Google, and Kevin Hu, Principal Business Development Manager at Amazon, introduced their latest strategies in the smart home industry and emphasized their support for the Matter protocol.
Heywoo Lee explained, "Google is collaborating with leading brands in the smart home industry to integrate Matter products that utilize Wi-Fi and Thread technology. This collaboration ensures that Matter devices and applications from these brands seamlessly work with the smart home products provided by Google and Android, offering an enhanced user experience. Furthermore, Google will be upgrading Nest devices to serve as the main controller for Matter protocol. Additionally, they will be introducing new tools to assist developers in creating Android applications that support Matter, including the Google Home Sample Application (GHSAFM) based on the Google Mobile Services Matter API (GMS Matter API)."
Kevin Hu from Amazon also stated that Amazon will support the Matter protocol on over 30 models and hundreds of millions of Echo and eero devices. They will do so through tools like Frustration-Free Setup, Commissionable Endpoint API, as well as upcoming tools like APIs for credentials and Matter multi-admin simple setup API. These efforts aim to help developers create differentiated user experiences and promote successful business growth.
The ULTRON Matter Solution helps manufacturers and brand owners decrease development and production thresholds, providing a one-stop service for manufacturers from development to certification. This will accelerate the launch of Matter devices. The ULTRON Matter Solution will initially focus on mainstream products such as electrical, lighting, and sensing devices.
